COMMUNITY GALLERY & SHOWCASE
This community centered event is meant to inspire a consideration of 21st century engagements with land and urbanization. Artists are asked to submit work related to the theme, and participate in a day of sharing space and art with the community. Events feature visual, written, and oral art. The idea is derived from a quote by Solmaz Sharif in her poem Inspiration Point: Berkeley: “there is nothing that has nothing to do with this.” “This” referring to the history of erasure and colonization embedded in the spaces we engage with everyday.
